Chinese Quizzing Glass
Stock Number 221-07

Chinese quizzing glasses are very rare in the US. Most came to America with the Chinese workers who helped build the railroad in the late 1800's. This one dates after 1880. It is stamped "China". This quizzer was designed to be worn on a belt or cord. It is made from pakton and copper. At one time it was silver plated. Most of the silver has worn away.
