East German Made Eyeglasses

I was lucky to find a case of never used eyeglasses made in East Germany.  These frames are very heavily constructed and designed to last a long time.  Each frame is marked
"Made in Germany - East". These frames were made for export to the West.  The lot that I purchased was made for an optical company located in New York City.  East German made items were not very popular in the US.  However, such items are now in demand.  The style is bold and strong and definately made for use by men.
