
This reading aid was used before the invention of eyeglasses in 1727. Nurenburg, Germany was the center of production for inexpensive quizzing glasses made between 1600 and 1725. This example is in excellent condition. It has seen much more storage than use. Also, it was stored in a paper case. The top of the paper case is missing but the bottom of the case protects 90 percent of the quizzer. The inside of the paper case is lined with an old newspaper and the text is easy to read.
